A map built totally on the thought of originality, I've built inspired by the forge system. Using Items as the are not meant for but houses as floors and trains as houses this map really reflects how we make things on halo.
It's a small size symmetrical map (teams of 3 or 4) made for competitive gameplay. Only team games are recommended.
DL, Play, Give me a review. It would be greatly appreciated.
sadly, the database is still up, so the only way he would be able to put pictures up is with a capture card or get some very low quality pictures with a camera.
I did download the map though (first one I downloaded because I was very interested to see how he used his objects) and I was fairly impressed. The layout is simple, but pretty interesting in the way you used the roofs of houses. I've made one map so far, and I've used some objects in ways similar as you have Blaze. I guess using Halo 3's forge a lot opens up some imagination for us to use objects in unique ways in Far Cry's map editor.
I'm yet to play on the map though... none of my friends really have Far Cry 2... It sucks...
BTW... in each side's bases, did you build stepping stones to a mushroom? that's what it resembled to me.
Ha. well thank you for checking it out. I wish i had a cap card to show you guys but i don't nor have the money to purchase one. For the map.. It is very simple, i didn't try to make it complex, just like forge. Check out my other maps If you'd like they are way better. thank you again for your comments.
and no... its not a mushroom. lol. just random cover.
This was one of the last maps we played in the Far Cry 2 TGIF on friday. We had some good lolz while playing, and i must give credit to you for making a map which was sized pretty much perfectly for the intended party size.
While the center of the map was actually laid out pretty well, it felt ridiculously one sided. This was because any team who managed to eliminate nearly all members of the opposing force immediately had the upper hand of higher-ground. Because of the way you laid each end of the map out, it allowed instant spawn camping of the opposition. Thus the solution would have been to allow several other routes of access to the central building and you would have had a winner of a map.
A final note on the 'theme' for the map. Don't do it again :P ... no offence, but it just didn't look right. At all.
Great potential in you though.
You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes.
