Far Cry 2 Multiplayer - The Lowdown

After a recent interview with Gamespot, its fair to say that we know alot more about the Multiplayer section of Far Cry 2. After reading, i have learned how 'Capture the diamonds' and 'Uprising' work. I have also learned more about the gameplay. It is clear now that Far Cry 2's gameplay is a gentle blend of both Call of Duty 4, and Battlefield Bad Company. The number of classes, way of unlocking weapons and healing are all very similar to Battlefield, whereas weapon pickups, weapon upgrades and low health count on people are much closer to home with Call of Duty.

There is also a capability to heal dead teammates, like Gears of War.

I'm really liking the look of the system. Class upgrades are similar to MGS4 in some ways too, and I like it. Simple, clear and desirable upgrades from simply playing the game. I'd love to see a full weapon list - think they were listed in an E3 spot, might have to dig that up.

i see in the screen you put up says 4 things about the weapon:damage, range, accuracy, reliability, fire rate. reliability? wtf? does this mean some weapons will break?
