Here's a video that provides an easier, much more effective way to ghost merge. The instructions are in the video.

I have this nasty habit of laying out a map in Forge, arranging objects to form the basic design, and then abandoning it shortly afterwards.
So, I am brainstorming some idea that I'm ACTUALLY going dedicate myself to finish forging. I'm designing and forging it as you read this signature. Not like you care.

Unnamed Sandbox Map: Design Stage.

Dont be stupid, the up and x method is much harder to do.
@OP Which video are you watching? The original one with the ultimate budget glitch or the dummying method for any item? You can just look further down the page for the second video which is much easier IMO.

instead of pressing up+A i do:

have the item in the middle of my screen
pull back untill cant select it
press *X*, the menu should pop up
(now it getts tricky)
press the *back* button, the names of the players should pop up
while holding *back* move forward towards the item
still holding *back* press *A* and you should pick up the item
let go of *back* and press *A* again and you should "buy" another item from the *X* menu
the 1st item you picked up should drop and be dummied
delete the item you spawned
repeat for the other item

i want my shotgun back!

these method seem really hard. all you have to do is first be host.
than spawn two of the same item
than set one to never/yes
set the other to 30/yes
highlight one of the objects(dont pick up)
dummy it by pressing up on the d pad and A at the same time.
may take practice
do that for the other item too
than spawn another item(doesnt matter what it is) and just use it to push the other objects out of the way(if they dont move, try dummying them again. may take practice
if both objects move wen you push them, than delete the object your holding-the one you used to push the objects
than pick up the object that is set to 30/yes not the never one
than you set the run time minimun to its highest.
than wait.

this way sounds hard but once you get used to it its alot easier than those other methods.
