Ok, so just as long as the map is on my hard drive, it is still downloadable? I didn't know that.

So, if I take pictures or a video of my map, I can post it on here?

no, that person was definitely wrong. Please refer to my post at the bottom of the previous page.

So, if I have a map complete, I just put it in my fileshare, make a post and link to it here? Is that correct?

What about the "must be in a bungie forum" rule?

If the map is in your fileshare, navigate to it on BNet, click on the file's name, then use that link for your map download here.

I have tested what i've said, I actually have multiple maps that I track the DL's of that I have posted here and taken off my Fileshare.

Like my sig? Refresh the page, it'll change. :)

correct. the "bungie forum" rule is a tad outdated, as there are no forums in which to publish your map anymore at bungie.net. So don't worry about that.

The map must be in A fileshare. It doesnt have to be in yours. Trust me. LIGHTS knows. If your map is not in your fileshare, but still downloadable, then someone, somewhere likes your map enough to put it in theirs as well.

If its in a file set, then yes, temporarily, the map will still be downloadable... temporarily. Bungie does sweeps of these file sets regularly and cleans all files out that do not have a fileshare home.

No matter if your blacklisted or not, you will only able to have 6 slots in your file share. But If you buy Bungie pro, you can get 24 slots.

If you've determined the problem lies in your IP address, why not just use a proxy server? I can't think of a simpler way to un-blacklist yourself.

This is false... if you group a map into a file set, it will always be available for download, regardless of whether or not it's in a fileshare somewhere.
Dumb me EDIT: just saw your post a few above here. I did not know that Bungie swept file sets... they must not do it very often.

you could always use a second account using one of the free one months on your xbox for extra file share space for older maps etc.

@ultsf: I would recommend buying Bungie Pro. It gives you 24 slots of fileshare and you'll have the ability to render videos on B.net. It's really a good investment of you're planning to forge a lot.

No. It won't. In fact Bungie themselves mentioned this in a very recent site update. That these files that have no more home in a file share anymore would be wiped clean. They do this regularly. Sometimes they give notice, sometimes they dont.

Believe me when I say that I know exactly how all this works.
