Question Shoutbox.

Is there a way to limit the amount of post in the Shoutbox a person has?
To stop the kids who use it as AIM, MSN, Skype, Etc While they play xbox?

so its not like this:

Noob1:Dude, wanna play some xbox
Noob2: sure add me
Noob1:I have no mic tho
Noob2:*talking to himself on xbl*
Noob1:*in Shoutbox* shotgun noob
Noob1: gah i hate swords
Noob1: lol lets play oddbal
Noob1:No BR there to good
Noob1:King of the hill next
*other people try to talk now*
Noob1: Awh lazer me, nooblet
*Now noob one continues to spam the shoutbox with his gameplay and interupting the other people while they try to have a conversation*

My point is, Is there a way to limit the amount of speach one person does in say, 5 minutes if theres no replies?

I don't know if this is a good idea.

It would really restrain all conversations, even if they are meaningful. I'm in the shoutbox a lot, and a lot of interesting stuff comes up that leads to thoughtful discussions. Limiting posting in the shoutbox would dramatically reduce these discussions as well as overall activity in the shoutbox.

There really doesn't need to be such a restraint on the shoutbox. Senseless chatter is just a small little thing, and its not too hard to ignore. Timed post restrictions would just make the activity completley die, and I love the shoutbox.

You dont spam like the example i put, it would kill Noob 1 for a certain amount of time because of his spam, and that, IMO is good. because it gets pretty annoying..

Well the Moderators can always warn the people, and ban them if needed, it kinda happens like that, plus the Shoutbox is for chat. I understand what you mean, but it isn't like a horrid thing, they are chatting its not like they are doing it to bump Shoutbox chat post count, you know?

Tbh, there's usually always one moderator scanning the SB every few minutes, and annoying members are nearly always warned or dealt with accordingly when I'm in the SB, so I think this is a field that's really already been taken care of.

This morning, For about an hour, The only coloured that was online from what i could see was a premium and a respected

Well they can't be on ALL the time, but they can always see it later, or something, I mean they always can't be watching it, but eventually it will be dealt with.
