Suggestion Idea for a new Forging Tutorial

I saw a map by Bl00d F1R3 recently that has little mancannon spikes coming out of the ground. It can only be used though if you throw a regenerator down on top of it. Somehow regens increase the gravitational pull of the mancannon and expands it's radius of effect.

Anyway, this is something I never knew about, and I'm sure a lot of people still don't know about it. I'd like to see how this is done, and other possible uses for it.

For example: Is it possible to do without placing the mancannon outside the map? Can you say, make a floor out of Bridges and space the mancannon far away enough to get the same effect?

Nope. I cannot get a pic, or show the map to anyone.
This was awhile back when I was helping him test his map. I don't have it in my recents anymore.

But just imagine a light blue spike coming out of the ground, about Spartan height. It does absolutely nothing... that is, until you throw a regen on top of it. Then it sends you flying just like a mancannon should.

Make a box with one side open, made by double walls that are lined up straight, so vertically.
Then put two mancannons on the side, and there you have it! :)
Nao put regen there and you're done.

I'd think so. If you've seen Dented Drums map Regency they have implemented that and it wasnt merged into the ground.
I havent tried this but I'd assume you'd just need to place it at just the right height.

Yeah, you can. I've seen a few maps use it, but none of them got past the 'oh this is cool until you actually get to playing the game' stage. The novelty is just very... noveltish. The only one that seemed to use it well was buddhacrane's map.

It's just using the first method of merging. After that, you have to get under the map, and then move it around freely.
