Description:

Forged by:
Shellshock
Revised by: MultiLockOn
Supported Gametypes: FFA Slayer, FFA Hill, One Flag, One Bomb, Juggernaut

Hexanchidae was forged by Shellshock as well as some help from MultiLockOn months back. It was near completion when it was forgotten about until the monthly Forgery Challenge announcing the Free for All competition. It was picked up, dusted off, and testing and tweaking resumed. Although it didn't make the deadline, Hexanchidae inspired and forged for Free For All gametypes in mind, is now ready to fight its way into the forging community of Halo 3 and leave its mark. Not only does it utilize symmetry features tweaking weapon spawns, purely on the gametype at hand, but the map itself evolves in varying situations, the geometry literally changing to balance out the specifics of the current gametype.

Download: Hexanchidae

  • 2 Frag. Grenades
  • 10 Plasma Grenades

*Credit also goes to Canadians360 for letting me use his adoptable map.
Oh, and since it's so hard to pronounce the map, just call it Fishy/Sharky/Mermaid or something.

....are you frigging kidding me....

Tell me how you rated gameplay, because I'd like to know how ninja you were at downloading the map and playing it within 5 minutes of post. Not to mention it's still at 0 downloads. I mean wow! What ninja training academy did you attend to achieve that speed!

Anywho, I know you worked ages on this map Shellshock, and it truly does play amazing for Free for All gametypes.

This all looks really good and it looks like it would play well for ctf so you got my download. I can already see some usefull jumps to use while playing on this map, a map with jumps is always my friend. BTW I dont think the name is THAT hard to say... Hexanchidae? Was that a random name or does it mean something? lol

Jumping Maps:
Jumper: Sandbox | Jumper: Expert | Mountian Climb | Always Sliding | Serenity | Contents (final jump map) | Mountain Climb v2

Other Maps:
9Mins till Evac | Conquest map (80%) | Monument (asset)

Going in my sig.

Anyways, the map. It looks like it would play ctf quite well, and that ffa would be fun. Merging is a bit messy, but that's really all the criticism I can give until I get a game on it.

Retaliation - Skybound - Cold Front - Mombasa Streets - WW3 Map Pack

damn, looks like a great map man.

From what i can see, the merging looks spotless, looks smooth, and looks like it would have some killer gameplay.

Also, great job on the post man! Seeing pictures edited shows the creator took time and consideration into his post/map.

Without game play/based on pictures;
4/5

It's the name of some sort of shark. I just named the map it because it sounds cool. :p

And thanks for all your comments, guys!

Lol nice name shellshock. I'll be playing this later for gameplay tests. Then I'll add that to this post. For now I'll just do a forgethrough though. But from what I can see it looks both aesthetically pleasing and solid in gameplay and flow.
Give my to the end of the day to finish the review :P and lol at Multi's post.

This map looks great and I can tell you worked hard on your post. I'm going to have to get in some gameplay to comment on how it would work out or maybe just a quick forge through. Congrats on the aesthetics, not amazing but really good. Anyway, nice job. Hope to see more from you. Maybe pic a name that goes along with what the map is and a name that is easier to pronounce. No pronunciation thing for the word at dictionary.com.

Fishy look good!

Dude, incredible aesthetics, especially the arch over the doorway in the rocket courtyard and the diamond above it. And I always like it when people mix it up with the textures, like u did under the rocket launcher, it fits in perfectly.

Yeah, about the name. Shellshock doesn't happen to be as competitive of a forger as a lot of you, he's really laid back. He doesn't actually care much for the name of the map, all you need to know is that it's a type of shark :P Just be like me, refer to it by Sharky, or Fishy.
