Overhead

Hey everyone,

Sorry about the earlier post. :) I will defineatly remember to put those kind of posts into discussion forums.

Anyways i have completed my map. I have made some major changes to the the map, and even changed the name.
The map is called "Overhead". The reason for this is because the map is a aircraft based map. The aircrafts could be your best friend or your mortal enemy.

I had tried to make it so there was no spawn kills, but since your base is almost on its own little island its kinda hard. The solution i figured out though was to change the respawn traits to invunerable for 5 seconds.

Im sorry for the inconvenience though i had not made a complete game type for this map, and i had ran out of room in my file share. :)

There has been several major changes to the map. The map now features a much larger base and only one middle large island. Each base has instant respawn vehicles. All aircraft are on top of the base and have sheild doors protecting them from vehicle spawn kill.

Now here's your pics.

HINT: Each base has a man cannon that will send you over to the middle island.

This is starting to look like a much better map now, and a finished one. The linear arangement of your bases seems like conquest which is not exactly good for this type of map. There is not reward to moving out to the sides, and no way to have a crossfire on an enemy person or aircraft. In addition, Brute shots are terrible for this type of map, although they do not have the acr of fuel rod guns, they cannot shoot even halfway across the map. The base designs, while they give plenty of cover people could just camp in the rooms, and the area from which you could attack enemies is so miniscule a single hornet could cover it. I can see this map ending in a standoff of a hornet sitting outside, to be killed if it lands, and people inside waiting for it to land. Therfore, rather than an interbase war, this would most likely turn into a game of attrition. Using objective variants would help this, but people would still not go outside if it is hopeless. Furthermore, you could simply place the spawns in the rooms and eleminate the invincibility time. Finally, add br starts so you can replace the brs in the weapons room with something more deadly, and eleminate the weapon "room", most people on forgehub hate weapon rooms except isolated circumstances. Finally, it appears that rockets could easily take out the hornets sitting on the enemy base, just the top edge appears enough to hit with a rocket.

I suggest you get some testers on this to really see where it needs improvement. Forums > Tester guild
