Vengeance



Vengeance is a one on one map where the next Tournament will take place. It suits King, Ball, and 1v1 Slayer. 2v2 works, but it becomes cramped. As with the tournament gametypes, no radar greatly enhances the gameplay. There is a sniper rifle, mauler, four plasma grenades and camo which spawns three minutes in, at the bottom of the map. Due to its competitive nature, I prefer more MLG-style settings, so I recommend taking radar off and putting BR starts on the map.

In my critiques, I focus on the bad, because that is how a map is improved. Don't take it harshly. Ratings mean nothing: don't bother using them. Give specifics on how a map can be improved, and download the damn thing. I'm about done with seeing picture reviews.

Awesome! Is that the actual effect or did you just do that for the pics? Ilooks like epic sauce and it looks like it plays as if that too. Now my friend, I am going to focus on the bad as I agree with you in your signature. You should of provided a more detailed weapons list (you can clearly see that those are not all the weapons on the map that you have listed) and a detailed description of the gameplay in the area the pictures show so that people have a good understanding. Focus on those and you should aqire more downloads and give "picture reviewers" a better understanding as well. - NO RATING , due to you not liking them, but the rating would most definatly not be bad!

Wow, it does look pretty amazing. The aesthetics look great, and if the effect is in game then it's probably the only competitive map I've seen that actually works with it. I love the ramp in the second picture and the plasma grenade spawn in the second to last picture.

Are there any tactical jumps that you incorporated into this?
Sorry, no download for me - I'll try, but I'm pretty sure I'm full. If it does get downloaded I'll give a more thorough review.

Pretty amazing, i like the aesthetics involved, anyways the mauler spawn area is a little open, is it meant to be that way?

Thank you for your comments. To the first guy, I find your first post very bizarre because you say you agree about my picture review policies, but YOU JUST GAVE ME a picture review. The things you suggested, I am well aware they are beneficial, but all of that can easily be found by downloading. That is how the map looks ingame, and I did not incorporate many tactical jumps. Anyways, thank you all for your comments and I hope you get a chance to play on it...

Played a 1v1 match here yesterday.

Your layout made the gameplay flow really well, but my cousin (opponent) said that he kept spawning in the same place often. I don't know where exactly, but I suggest you check your spawns. The spawns, and all other aspects of map making, were great, in my perspective at least.

Thank you. I believe I know where he's talking about (I find the spawns by one of the corner walls on the top level seems to occur too much), but there's not much I can do about that. Sometimes Bungie's spawn algorithms do not agree with certain layouts. There's only one respawn point there, no duplicates, but I guess that's an aspect of 1v1: predicting spawns.
