Portside

Portside is my latest map. It is based on the Skybubble of Sandbox. The map was my premake of Longshore, but I designed it long before Bungie Day, before the picture for Longshore was released. The map design is based off the campaign level 'The Storm.' The map has gone a lot of changes, most of them regarding weapons and vehicles. I tested the map multiple times with the Tester's Guild, and with friends to get the weapons and vehicles just right.

Weapons and Vehicles

2 Ghosts
2 Snipers
1 Missile Pod
6 BRs
2 turrets
1 Brute Shot
2 Carbines
1 Power Drain
1 Bubble Shield
1 Regenerator
1 Mauler
2 SMGs
2 Spikers
6 Plasma Grenades.

Pics

Blue Base

See the resemblance to The Storm?

Red Base

The front pier is long, but still has enough cover to make your way on foot.

Looking from the Blue base

Snipers and Ghosts dominate the back hallway

See?

Splosions

The Ghost

BR fights

Turrets are good at taking out Ghosts

Power Drains are useful at blocking off the entire hallway

Threat neutralized

Center structure

Although the center tower only has a brute Shot, it gives a huge height advantage to any players who control it

Silently making his way into the opponent's base...

There is plenty of room on the front pier to ambush Ghosts

Bird's eye view of Portside

Compared to the Storm (The camera angle was a little off)

wow great job forging the map is gorgeous it looks like a lot of fun
with the ghosts on the map wouldnt a laser at the center post be a better idea than a brute shot just saying cause snipers can be hard to take out the driver with
but otherwise great job! 4.6/5

In the center is a Missile Pod, Power Drain, Plasma grenades, and a Brute Shot. That's more than enough weapons that you can use to counter vehicles.

This map is very well forged, bases look great. Gameplay was extremely fun before, and now with the changes in weapons and vehicles, plays better now too. This a very fun and awesome map, Dl'ed.

Great Idea my dude I think you should of done this one on the mid level vs the skybubble. I really like how you turned storm into a playable map I was thinking about doing that With the begin of the level Delta Halo off Halo 2 but anyway good job.

Great aesthetics and creativity. I'll definitely download to try it out.

Edit: When I went to download the map the link lead me to an error page. You might want to check your link.

this map is sexy.

i can really see the resemblance to the storm. i've already dl'd it, but i haven't got a chance to test it out with my friends yet.

and one other thing i'd like to mention: have you considered making this map a conquest map? in my opinion, it would play pretty well for conquest. i know that this map doesn't have the typical layout for a conquest map, but still.
