Info on Map
Ok this map has been redone and made better. IT started out as a pretty awful map. It was my first post on forgehub so people didn't flame me to much. Lets just say I am not proud of it. If you wish to see it click HERE. My next try was not any better. All I did was put random pieces to make cover. HERE is the link. I made a third version but I did not ppost it cause i knew I could mak it better. It look a lot like V4 but it didn't have everything. So after a long road of getting better I give you Ruins V4.

This is the overview of the map. The map has color blind and juicey effects on.


This is the new red base. I added the Obelisks on the sides.


Same with the Blue base.


This is the new center structure. During Asymmetric game types it has a Sword and during symmetrical game types there is an Overshield.


This is the rocket spawn. It is on the side of the center.


This is the new platform. They are on each side by the sniper and splazer spawn. To get up you nedd to hop on a block with a bubble shield.

Both your map and weapons & equipments list needs a lot of serious work.

There are too many plasma grenades. Set them to probably the same amount as your frag grenades. Same goes with the spike grenades, but you can make only one pair for this one. Two bubble shields and two power drains is not the way to go. I suggest you remove one from each of them.

The amount of BR's are probably okay, but since your map is extremely open, it would be much better the amount was four. I also recommend you to take out one brute shot and set its respawn time to about 90 sec instead of 60 sec. Okay, so you have a sniper rifle, a rocket launcher, a spartan laser and an energy sword (it's not called a beam sword). You seriously have too much power weapons here and that is bad especially if your map is open. In conclusion to your weapons, you have way too many weapons placed on your map.

As for the design, I did not find the map attractive at all. It needs more multi-leved platforms. Your map is too flat and open. Try to make your structures look very well constructed as well.

like rabbittt said there is may too many weapons on this board! i would take off ROCKS, and SPLAZER, move the sword to were rocks spawn. and put OS were sword is in the neutral middle...that way its a race to o.s. "OR" the sword....as far as map layout and forging goes, it looks like you have a lot of "lazy cover" (just placing objects down with no reason) try merging EVERYTHING you put down. even if its just a FIN with a STONE colum into it. it just looks like the object is now grounded to somthing....i think you still need a lot of work, but least you got an idea of flow for your map....2/5

i aslo recomend "beefing" and cleaning up the bases....from the overview the only way i knew i spawned in the base is by the red/blue lights

The amount of plasma grenades is WAY too high, and most people would prefer frag grenades over spike grenades. I would suggest putting equal amounts of plasma and frag grenades, and only a few spike grenades.


Btw, in the weapons list, it says "Beam Sword," I'm thinking that should be energy sword?

Just way too plain out basic. From the pics I can see that you're a good forger but you have no imagination. With all the weapons on the map it seems like it has practically an armory. And people don't like that, it doesn't matter if I do, people don't. On the plus side your most original forging was the interlocked centerpiece. Nice try.
