the whole problem is with that is sandbox's pillars are too big, we don't have anything smaller which is troublesome to do...

Not to mention it may interfere with gameplay. every small little change on a map can alter gameplay drastically.

but i will try to fix it in version 2...

Parts of the map are already cramped as it is. Trying to add in another pillar using Sandbox's options will likely make it worse. Although it may be possible with some interlocking.

yea I know, I was playing it w/ some friends and alot of them complained about some of the space in the hall, but at least try using some ramp smalls on the two sides of the ladder as the would provide cover.

Amazing, the map felt almost exactly like the classic. Great job and way to go the extra mile with the ladder and grooves in the ground.

If I had to sum this map up in one word that would be, wow. Everything about the map seems so professional. For one thing this map has the best aesthetics that I have seen in any map, ever. Every time I start up a game my jaw drops when I see the detail in the shield door structures (amazing) and in the colored columns lining the floor (even more amazing). Your ladders are ingenious and work very well. So much thought went into this map. Not just in the design but also the weapon placement. You seemed to put the right weps in for everything.

The only suggestions I have would be: see if you could work out the small structural issues people have pointed out (not necissary, but it would make your map perfect) and make a CE Xbox wep version and a CE PC wep version. That way you could playtest both and pick the one that was the best or you could just have both and let people choose which one the want to dl.

Can't wait to see this featured (don't know why it hasn't been already) and keep up the superior work. Glad to hear you're working on a Beaver Creek remake. I would also be very happy to see you attempt a Boarding Action remake. But it doesn't matter what you do just keep dishin' out superior maps. *****/***** (5/5)

Keller, i like how people believed both MrWhite and me about the Battle/Beaver Creek remake. Now it seems that you are going to be doing that one for a long time. Best of luck to you.

Personally I never really like Longest in Halo CE or Hal 2 so I do not expect to like it in Halo 3. But it appears to be accurate so that is good for people who actually liked the original. I really don't like the flame thrower, it was not in the Xbox version of the game, and it is a joke of a weapon. Also it may be more appealing if you add a couple plasma pistols and a brute shot as a power weapon.

Update longevity

alright I'm back from my 5 day fishing/running vacation and ready to get back to work on forging and etc.

to lazy to read skip to the quote box down below....
And to respond to this post i was trying to grab the users feel for Longest not elongation (halo 2) The maps play in two completely different styles and I perfered my memories on halo CE's version. Unfortunately the only experience i have had to halo CE's multi-player was through that of the PC. So i built it to replicate that.

On other Notes

i found some free time and the updates should either be out tomorrow around 3-6 pm central time and the thread update should be around 8 pm central. As for the video that i am making to back up i have had to re shoot a couple shots so give it sometime yet. for the custom game it is almost done and will be ready for posting tomorrow between 3-6 pm as well.

what the update addresses....
UPDATED VERSION 1.2 LONGEVITY
- date released: June 30, 2009

What will be addressed:
- Minor aesthetics (yes they will be better)
• tweaked roof
• Added Pillars to middle walkway
• detail ramps aside the ladders

- More Game modes Available (all game modes will be playable)
- Flamethrower will be removed*
- Custom Game mode that will bring back memories

Thread Updates:
- Date Released: July 1, 2009 (at the latest)

What will be addressed:
- A video showing highlights of jam packed action and fun... O BOY!!! (1-2 weeks)
- Updated pictures.... bellowing the new updates
- I am taking out some pictures of halo CE map and replacing them with new pics.

* The version with the Flamethrower involved in game play will be called Longevity (PC), its the original longevity without current updates, Without will be called Longevity V1.2.

I've seen ladders in foundry before, just not with those objects.
Anyways this is the best longest remake I've ever seen. You implemented everything you could from the halo version into your version, which is what makes these remakes the best. Remakes are truly one of my favorite type of maps. Good job, definitely a 5/5 and a definite download.
