Olympic Garden

Olympic Garden is a smaller map made in the skybubble and 4 box heights above the floor that works great with FFA gametypes, and you can also get a good 2v2 going. It works with KOTH, Oddball, Slayer, Juggernaut, and even plays an OK infection. You may think that it is too small, but it worked pretty well in testing. I know, the naming needs work lol. It is made for 1v1, 3-6 player FFA, and the occasional 2v2. Please don't rate the map on size, it's meant to be the way it is.

The recommended weapon start for this map is an assault rifle or an SMG, preferably the SMG, due to the small, open nature of the map. The sniper rifle on the map is a good power weapon, there's plenty of lines of sight from the top area. The needler works so well because it is a relatively flat map.

Weapons:
BRx4-60s
SMGx2-60s
PRx2-60s
Sniperx1-1clip-120s
Needlerx1-120s
Fragx4-20s
Plasmax4-45s
Overshieldx1-180s
BubbleShieldx1-120s

Now for what you all probably skipped down to anyway, the pictures!

Overview:

Side view:

Sniper Spawn:

Needler Spawn/Lift to sniper:

Hallway view (Aesthetics on side added, newer picture):

The map looks really great but I have some questions.
1. Where do the teams spawn?
2. Why did you make it 4 block heights above the floor? Seems a bit uneccisary.

Aesthetically this map looks great.
The tree thing looks cool and the thing surrounding it actually looks like water which is a nice touch.
This looks extremey small though. Im guessing only a 1v1 would work or it'd get way to crowded thus seeing the respawn screen too much. I really dont see the sniper being too much of an advantage on this small of map unless whoever has it is good at no-scoping. And I might be mistaken from your pics but it looks like the entire thing is a little slanted to the right, but I may be wrong.

But overall this map is very pleasing to the eye, and why'd you name it Olympic Garden?

It's not slanted to the right, I am just a very poor screenshot taker =p. I expected people to say it was too small, and hell it might be, but playing it with my friends, we actually had a good time and found that it worked with our five player party. As for the sniper, you will find it has a great line of sight to both of the walkways leading to the OS, and I didn't want it to over power the bottom level so I put it directly above. To be honest the needler is just as powerful here. I do plan a v2, but there is not much I can do about the size. Any suggestions? And I named it that because it had a tree and grass so I thought garden and the columns made it look uhh... Olympicish so yeah lol.

nice love the centerpiece part in a v2 i would like to see a banshee to take advantage of all the space left in the skybox beneath the map and also a larger playing area to expand from 1v1s. at least 3v3s plz.

^^Made by me. Just scroll down once you click download and wait for the timer to go down to download. ^^

A banshee on this map would be ridiculous, and the map is not meant for 3v3s. It is meant for FFA, 1v1s, or 2v2s. Please rate the map by what it was supposed to be. To take those suggestions is a completely different style and map.

Ok if this were a asthetic map it would be good but its a competative map. Also the maps name does not make sense. Although it could be used as a CTF or slayer type slayer maybe 2v2, 3v3, or 1v1. But it looks like you put alot of effort into this map

So you're saying it's not good for competitive play? But you also say that it would be good for CTF or 3v3, when it says specifically in the description that it is meant for 1v1 or 2v2 or FFA? The description never said CTF or 3v3. Please make a decent comment that makes sense. Shit like this makes me lose faith in forgehub.

Ok, so first of all, great forging from what I can tell. The map name DOES make sense it is obviously a tree in a small garden. To Drumz, it can be aesthetically pleasing and still be a good comp. map. Don't judge before playing. A banshee would definitely ruin the map and would not make sense for a small ffa game or 2v2. Overall nice map, and good job. I prolly won't dl since I don't have any room and I'm not too fond of sandbox maps. :P
