Triplex

Triplex
Download Triplex HERE

Triplex is an asymmetrical, competitive, unique, and overall fun map. It is well built and well planned out. There are roughly 3 main areas all connecting to each other in various ways. The most noticeable red area which is the highest elevated and arguably most aesthetically pleasing contains a few weapons such as a sniper rifle, flame grenades, and a carbine. The blinding white light area is also very unique. It is susceptible to the red area's overhang but has battle rifles, spike grenades, a power drain, and other tricks. There is also a long hall connecting these 2 areas with a bunker and an overlook of windows perfect for sniping. Lastly, the blue area is a close combat "maze" area. In some game modes it will take you away from the action a bit, while in others in can make for a great hiding place, and in others yet it can be the center of the action. The blue area contains many weapons such as smg's, a shotgun, and plasma grenades.

Triplex is best with Slayer game modes but can also be suitable for objective game modes such as CTF and other fun game modes like Oddball and Infection. It is a medium/small map and is best played with about 3 - 10 players.

Wow, this map looks amazing. I love the different elevation in it, and the rooms are just big enough for some good firefights. Definite download, great job.

Ventilation V2-Planned
Sidestep 75%
Tech Deck-5%
Unnamed-Planned
Terminus-15%

Hmm, I never seem to finish any of these..

Thanks for the feedback. I really tried to mix it up a bit with the large rooms and small passageway areas.

So i like the map. however i think that the maze like structure you have is a bit unneeded.

for one, the first person in there will most likely grab the shotgun (which im glad 6 shells only) and completely own the maze.

second, it doesnt really match much with the otherwise well built map.

If you create a v2, my suggestion would be to try and make either a courtyard feel to the space occupied by the maze, or possibly make a rotational symmetrical shaped map with the other side you have.

I really like the white light room :) i was like Oooooooooooooh silhouette.

hehe, overall a 3/5 from me .

keep up the forging :)

THis map is awsome. It really reminds of halo1 maps. Looks like it would be really good for infection and competeive play. Qued for download. nice job.

I see what you are saying but 2 things. First, I like how the maze area kind of counters the larger room and gives the map a close quarters area. I know you don't have to agree with me on this point but that is just my opinion. Second, I have hit the item limit and am not sure what I could really build in that rather large area with only 10 or 15 items from deleting the blocks used for the maze.

the map looks escapable easily, maybe in a V2 you could make the walls higher?

This looks uncannily familiar. I think this map has already been posted. Trisport or something like that. A ton of the structures look the same and I know the lighting is exactly the same. I'll check on that and I'll be back.

EDIT: Nice try lol. Instead of bumping it you just renamed it... This is the former "Triplesort." Link http://www.forgehub.com/forum/compet...riplesort.html

My Maps: Midship ("As far remakes go, I'd actually say its one of the best there is." -Paragon Fury), CLASSIFIED (Coming Soon)

Lol this isn't the same map. I edited a bunch of it and instead of naming it Triplesort V2 I named it Triplex.

Very cool map. Yeah I noticed that it was similar to the other one he posted but I guess making a v2 and not calling it v2 isn't against the rules. Anyways good job. I like the open areas and the maze is much better built and original.

All bets are off.
