Lattice

Lattice

This is an asymmetrical map in the sky bubble and intended for team games. The map is balanced for playing symmetrical game types such as Multiflag CTF in addition to asymmetrical game types. Spawn points, starting points, and objective objects have been placed for all variants.

The layout consists of two bases connect by two paths. The paths twist around each other, allowing many opportunities to attack players on different parts of the map, but are kept at a distance to prevent shortcuts. A detour connects the two paths at their midpoints and provides a clear view into an isolated region of both bases.

Please rate the map, and feel free to give constructive criticism.

It seems like their are a lot of battles across the gap, seems fun but some more explanation would be good.

This map is BEASTLY! The lines of sight seem perfect for Br's. My clan will eat this up! I love how this map forces you to take someone down at long range

Combat usually falls into one of two categories:

The paths double back on each other, allowing line of sight into parts of the map that are not immediately accessible. Many times you are pretty close to an opponent, able to attack at mid range but slightly too far jump over the gap.

The twists and corners often place you in extreme close-quarters battle. You may be taking one person down across a gap with a BR, only to find yourself face-to-face with a shotgun as you round the next turn.
