Ship 2 Ship


I made this map with the intention of focusing on Sandbox's "sky box" and utilizing the air combat aspects while still being able to go it "On foot"...so I came up with Base 2 Base (also called "Ship 2 Ship")

:The idea:

Create a decent sized map that one could traverse via aircraft or via the derelict orbital platform...I sorta was inspired by DMT Cairo station for the "on foot" and "in vehicle" action....

:The layout:

Each base has 2 banshees and one transport hornet, the transport hornet has a 20 second respawn (because it was prone to getting raped hard by banshees I turned down its respawn timer) and banshees have 90 second respawn timers.

Inside each base there is:

*4 MA5C ICWS (20 seconds)
*2 BR55HB battle rifles (45)
*2 SMGs (30 seconds)
*2Magnums (30 seconds)
*1 missle pod (90 second respawn)

The "on foot" aspect takes place on a decrepit orbital platform called "Platform Sigma", Sigma has been around for several years and the lack of maintainence has caused the orbital platform to fall apart with some portions exposed and others either falling apart or pieces free floating.

inside Orbital Platform Sigma there is...
*2 shotguns (1 extra clip 45 second respawn, 1 per side)
*2 spikers
*2 plasma rifles
*4 plasma grenades (2 on each side of Orbital platform)
*1 Plasma Pistols (great for taking out hornets carrying flag/bomb guy)
*1 power drain
*4 spike grenades
*1 SPARTAN laser (on a high exposed area of Orbital platform, aquire at own risk)

At the given moment the map is only built for objective gametypes:
*Capture the Flag
*Assault (neutral as well)
*team slayer
*team oddball (yep oddball)

best with:6-16 players

I have only 3 pictures...but they pretty much show the level...bear in mind that this is a vehicle and on foot map...

and yes there ARE ways on top of sigma station...but being THAT exposed to aircraft gun fire isn't a good thing

Putting the pics in a spoiler is obnoxious... They don't resize and so it's like impossible to see the whole thing.... Please take them out of the spoiler.

i use the spoiler tags to cut down on load time needed...but if you can't take 5 seconds of your time to click the button then I'm sorry

there is really no need to take pictures of the map other than the bases and sigma station...its an aerial combat map mostly...what do you want to see, the ground below? oif you want to actually see the map i suggest you play it...pictures are one thing...first hand experience is another

about 75 tacos

Hello, welcome to forgehub! this map i somewhat like all the the other maps on sky bubble, other then that nice job. I like how you put a cqb center in the middle, thats pretty original, just ignore the other people. Most people also like if you take screenshots in custom games to remove the grid and spawnpoints. nicejob! 4/5.

thanks and yeah... i'm not old here its jsut i have another account that i got locked out of becuase i lost the password to my email account xD

anyways the map was played with a minimum of 6 people...unfortunately the other team was comprised of camping children...but it plays nice...seeing and hearing vehicles whiz by over head...the thing about sigma station is that its dying and falling part, it hasn't been maintained in a long long LOOONG time...so parts are exposed to the elements (and vehicles) in certain areas and floating away...some halls are also showing signs of coming apart so they may not be properly aligned

fail. The pics dont give us enough... well pictures. I can barely tell a thing from this map. It just seems like a rip off of my friends sick map.
