Bloody Hills v2

Bloody Hills v2!

Bloody Hills v2 is seemingly the same as the v1. But with a lot of technical changes and tweaked weapon placement.

So we will go into weapon placement first. In the v1 i kept BRs out of the middle so it seems like u want to stay more on the sides of the map. Worst idea ever. There are now 4 BR spawns in the middle of the map and the rocket spawn is between the 2 hills. Also i changed up the BR spawns in the base so they are easier to get to and you don't half to do much looking.

Now we will go into the technical changes. On the upper platform where the sniper and the gun turret spawns it was really easy to throw grenades through the cracks in the main wall where the wall and the walkway meet. That is now fixed. It is impossible to get a grenade out of the map without throwing it over. Also i found an exploit at the blue base which is now fixed. O and the jump under the gun turret to get to the upper level no longer requires a crouch jump.

I will provide a link to the original post for more info.

Weapons List:
Battle Rifles x12
Plasma Rifles x2
SMG x2
Carbine x2
Sniper Rifle x1
Rocket Launcher x1
Shotgun x2
Machine Gun Turret x1

This looks great! Only things you can improve on is interlocking a bit on the corners but they're still great and you can work a bit on the center, it looks a bit plain. Right now I'll give it a 8/10. Nice job.

Its funny, im thinking the same exact thing. It looks very much like Excavation with a few twists to it.... seems kinda uncreative in my opinion. You should really change some of the map to make it look less like excavation.

Actually Excavation inspired me to make this kind of map. The wall was made by me though and the map is larger then Excavation. One thing i used though was the Machine Gun Turret Placement from Excavation.

Why are you guys comparing it to Excavation when you should be comparing it to Foundation, which is what Excavation is.

Anyway, this looks good, but it really is kind of a gutted Foundation, but it has it's own thing going too...

I remember seeing the first version. THis is so much better. The aesthetics are much better, but it's still pretty open. The buildings are too short. Other than that, I think it could be a decent team slayer map.

My best maps maps:
TC Conference B (slayer)
Skyscraper MT--A Monster Trucks map, remake of the Mario Kart 64 battle map

Hello, this is a really good map and I can see that you put forth great effort to create this map, and I think this effort has made a very good looking map.

The walls that block people from escaping is a very large feat that most would not have done, although you could have made this map in the sky and it would have been easier, regardless.

So I can see that you have an Asymmetrically horizontal map, and I've noticed that those are the types of maps you make, which is good because it allows the action to become more diverse. I have to say that you are improving.

Now the turret is actually used correctly, their is enough cover in the center to keep the enemies advancing, but not enough so that the enemies will be slowed down and forced to take cover. The turret should actually be more guarded because of how open it is. This is actually my first time recommending this.

Putting that aside, I can see the majority going through the center and few going through the sides, which is good because then the turret would become obsolete.

The weapons are put into strategic positions which were flaws in your old maps, with the shotguns in the bases and the sniper rifle in the dead center there will be too much focus on just getting to the other side that there will not be camping.

This is by far your greatest map competitive wise. I really don't see many flaws.

I would suggest you move towards other forms of maps, perhaps casual and mini-games. I can see you putting enough efforts into those categories that you could create original and very beautiful creations.

I give your map a 5/5.
This is by far the best map, great effort, great positions of weapons, the cover is just right.

5/5 bravo...

Thanks RadiantRain. I am actually working on one more competitive map on foundry. It is a very complicated and strenuous map but should be done in a month or so.
