Traumatized v3

(Featured on Cryptic Forgery)

>>Download<<

After a lot of editing and numerous testing sessions, I present to you, Traumatized v3.
Traumatized v3 is a map taking up about half of the area of Foundry. Technically, the map is asymmetrical, but it plays like a symmetrical map. The smallish nature of the map will provide you with fun, intense gameplay every time. Each base features a man cannon lift and each houses a sniper and a regenerator. The central structure contains a Ghost and a Spartan Laser.

Very solid map. I thank you for incorporating a ghost into a map and, from the looks of it, making it balanced. The idea of putting that ramp in the middle, allowing the ghost to go past whilst giving cover, is a great addition.

Also, the aesthetics are impressive, nice geomerging.

If I could improve this map, I would give it a defining feature, such as a centrepiece, because there are lots of great maps with a similar style to this one.

However, this is by no means necessary, and I would not recommend another version, just take it into consideration when forging your next map.

4/5, but I'll rate the thread 5/5 because this is definitely worth seeing.

This is real good. I think I saw another version of this before. I like the structures you have here. You definitly didnt overuse the geomerging and it still looks good. I know this is v3, but I still would reccomend something. This could really use some ramps leading from the floor level up to the next level. It seems that you have to jump up to almost every structure. But I see lots of places that could use the ramps. Like the Fence box merges that are pretty low, you could easily add a ramp to there. I dont know how you are doing on the budget, or how many walls or fence walls you have left, but I would really try to add those ramps.

Other than that this is a really good map. 10 extra points for putting a weapon list with respawn rates and spareclips. Lots of people dont do that but I think its very important to do. Good job.

Very Nice I remember testing this. It was very fun. I loved the map except I was able to break it 5 different ways but since you removed the trip I must find another way to break the map.

I don't have any walls, double walls, or fence walls left and I have a total of $11 of budget left. So there's not much I can do in the terms of ramps.

I reinforced the upper parts of the map, so hopefully you won't be able to break out now.

Thanks for the comments.

The MM thing failed. The map was way too small to be MM worthy for 4v4 gameplay.

Expect to see at least two more maps from me in the coming weeks. They are in my signature.

"Beautiful map and great thread. The merging and interlocking like everyone has said here is fantastic and overall seems to have a nice flow. Its a little hard to get a real concept of the map with the screenshots but that's why i'll DL it and give it a run. One guy here said he jailbreaked the map 5 times.....where? I don't see a barrier wall unless I'm blind. Great Foundry map. Really." says former Green Bay QB Brett Favre.
