FORERUNNER
Hello, everyone! I'm back with my third map, Forerunner. This is probably map best map, so comment, criticize, and rate, and tell me what to fix and improve.
DESCRIPTION
Forerunner is a symmetric-based, vehicle-based, team game map that is built on the middle upper level of Sandbox, above the crypt, and below the Sky Bubble. It plays anything but infection. The architecture and aesthetics of this map adds to its covenant/forerunner feel. The areas in the map range from vehicle trails to the high pillars of a base on a cliff. The balance flows nicely, as the areas look different, but are equally fit to match both teams. This map took 180 hours to make, more than a week, so you know I took my time into building it. Ther is lots of examples of interlocking and geo-merging in the map. It my best map to date. Now, onto the storyline.
STORYLINE
Millennia ago, the rise of the Forerunner age was among the universe, and their inevitable conquest for the sea of stars was destiny to them. For us, not so much. The Forerunner was an ancient race of enlightened beings that were the creators and builders of the Halos, the Ark, and the Shield World, Onyx, along with the artifacts that were found on Reach, Earth, Sigma Octanus IV, Harvest, and Arcadia. All that is known about the Forerunner has been gleaned from these various artifacts. The predecessors of the Forerunner are thought to be another alien race known as the Precursors. The alien faction known as the Covenant worshiped the Forerunners as gods, deriving much of their technology from Forerunner artifacts found throughout the galaxy. Many of these were to gather resources and space. Some, like these were the holy grounds to the Forerunner gods. Halo was one religious thought of the Forerunner people to destroy the universe and start over. Their salvation to tyranny was pushed to the limit. Now the common battle between UNSC and Covenant is born right here, on this very battlefield.
