Relentless

Hey everyone, this is my first post so if I do anything wrong let me know.

Ok so i've always liked smaller maps the most. In large maps, too much time is spent looking for people. Maps like Guardian and the Pit cause almost constant action. Relentless is a symmetrical map built in the middle of Foundry. It is completely enclosed. I built the map mainly for Capture the Flag, but it supports almost all game types. It has three "bridges" in the middle of the map, and these are the only way to get across from side to side. If you fall off a bridge, you will land in a teleporter that will kill you. I thought this would be a good idea to use because it makes the map way more tactical then it would normally be. So obviously, 90% of the action will take place in the middle. I know that most maps this size would have an issue with spawn killing, but the spawns are so spread out that its not a problem. Ok this will probably make way more sense when you see the pictures, so here you go.

Overview of the map.

Other side.

View from blue flag. A rocket launcher is in the box and a bubble shield is beneath.

If you fall off of the bridges, these teleporters will take you outside the map and you will die.

Red spawn.

Blue spawn.

Maulers spawn on the two outer bridges.

I know there are going to people that hate this map because of its size, but in my opinion that's what makes it more fun. It's constant action. And remember, STRATEGY HELPS!
Thanks and let me know what you think!

Welcome to Forgehub! And no, you made a correct post. Might want weapon listings or something similar, but they aren't required.

Looks like a great overall map, A bit too small and open for my likings.
A couple questions,
Are there deployable covers or bubble shields here? They would easily change up strategies and games.
And can you stand on the edge of the tilted boxes without slipping down to the teleporters or can you only stand on the side next to the walkways?

<Thanks Huntar!

Wow, This looks very, very good.
Nice and clean. I love the double box railing on the sides and the floating single box in the middle makes this map very original
From the pics 5/5!
(I would download but my Xbox broke yesterday.)

I'll Check it out. Don't worry about the open parts. I like open maps. This place is flooded with 1v1, enclosed stuff anyway.

Edit: O.k I downloaded. Great Idea. I would make the ravine in the middle a bit smaller though. That way, when someone fell into it, they would always hit the teleporter. If you didn't hit that you could just grenade jump out.

Thanks! Yea there is a bubble shield under the floating box. it makes CTF so much more interesting. And yea people can stand on the outer edges of the tilted boxes which i hate but i couldn't figure out a way to change it because i still want people to be able to walk up the sides inside the bridge if that makes sense. When i tested it that was never really a problem though.

Being able to walk on the outside edges in my opinion might make it more interesting, give a slight bit of surprise.

This would be pretty cool to play tank flag on. Since there is such little space between he capture points, you might want the capturer to take longer. I say that one little pillar in the center of the map would chnage the gameplay from the bridges to the other, out of re picture, parts of he map. Maybe you could use the symmetry option to do something good. Great map for a first post, I hope to see more maps from you in he future! 4/5 great.

Actually I agree with skanky in being too quick for capture. put a fence wall in symmetrical games or something similar.

Yea tank flag was my favorite to play on it. It gets pretty intense. And i was thinking about moving the flags into opposite corners. I'll probably try that out soon and see if it works better. Thanks for the feedback
