Gridiron

This is a modified version of Standoff.

It contains many more mid ranged weapons like the Battle Rifle and Carbine on it. It also features Overshields instead of Active Camo and man canons by each silo in the middle of the map for easy access to the middle where the Spartan laser, along with two fusion coils, waits. There are two mongooses and a Gauss hog for each base.

The biggest, and most obvious change is the fact that there is a mortar above each base. Basically, it is a Wraith enclosed behind shield doors. Use caution when using it not to move or you will start bouncing off of the shield doors.

I really like this mortar idea, I was trying to come up with something like artillery and this is perfect.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime; give a man religion and he will die praying for a fish.

Re: Gridiron: A Standoff map.

So whats the point of having the Wraith enclosed in shield doors when you can even move it?

Oh wait, is the Wraith supposed to be like the artillery? I'm confused.

The point is to make it more of a stationary mortar/artillery canon.

Please download and come back and review it please. It is my first real forge.

Absolutely loving the mortar idea. Hate to break it to you, but this will be stolen many, many times. Congrats on being one of the first!

Yay for a new idea. May I use it in some of my upcoming maps?
