Quota

Quota

Overview
This map is a small asymmetrical map hosting a innovative layout. Quota requires teamwork past what most maps expect. This map has a great balance between open and closed areas. This causes great lines of sights and you will experience all kinds of long and short range battles on this map. Never expect the action to leave you because the spawn system was worked around keeping you close to the fray but still safe from spawn kills, you will have an average of 2 seconds off your spawn before you start shooting and you are guaranteed to never get spawn killed twice or more in a row. A well placed teleporter to get from attackers base to side room allows for a before imbalanced room to become fair game.

Action

I really like the feel of many of areas on this map. The sniper window is my favorite. Plenty of interesting angles as well. You really need action shots to show this map off. It feels deserted and cold without them and it's hard to get a sense of scale. Action shots also tell people what they would enjoy doing on the map. Solid map. You just need to breath some life into the post.

Asymmetric? A plus in my book. I think the post possibly needs one of those overhead sketch-up things. I got confused and I walked around for a bit :P
Asides from that, I like the aesthetics, and I like the weapon placement. Never too close together, never too far apart. The overshield isn't too powerful in such an open spawn, which is always nice.

Liking: Asymmetry! Weapons! The fact you have to choose Overshield or Sniper, not both.

Disliking: Confusing layout. Confusing weapon spawns. I feel kind of closed in walking around.

This looks very well constructed. The asthetics look amazing and it looks very enclosed. I will download, check it out and get back to you on this, the only problem i see right now is that it could be too small for my liking.

From the pics, this looks very good :) The interlocking is VERY smooth and weapon layout seems well thought out.

The only thing i would say is that i don't like the fact that there are 2 plasma grenades, a BR and a Snipe all in the snipe hallway.

But other than that, its very good
4/5

Hey I just downloaded this map and it is very fun.It has great gameplay and awesome weapon placement, the interlocking is good but could use a little work on getting them to look a little neater like where the bridges stick out from the boxes but great map

First and foremost. You can obviously forge. And well at that.

Well this is most assuredly a breath of fresh air. I don't want to assume such as to be overconfident, but I like this. The geometry looks pretty interesting, no simple boring Foundry flats. The sniper hallway look fair as in the are protected but yet still vulnerable. You even have a teleporter and I'm always glad to see people incorporating teles into their map, and hopefully successfully in this case. I even like how by the mauler spawn you put a fence wall leaving it exposed so players can't just camp.

There are so many other things I can't wait to see how they turn out and will be playing this dis weekend.

Thanks everyone. I myself am not overly pleased with this map. This was my first map that I actually made with aesthetics in mind, so I definitely ran too much with aesthetics and not enough with the layout. I would make a v2 with all the problems fixed though however with Sandbox under a month away and the new feature to it I won't be able to stand the limitations of Foundry anymore.
