Midgar

Midgar

By: A Punker

This map was made in dedication to my personal favorite video game, "Final Fantasy 7." You got two mini-bases that are exposed to prevent camping at them. There is a main center piece in the middle. And out side of it branch 4 leg-like objects that simulate the reactors of Midgar. To further simulate them I put open singles at the feet of them with fences over the top and grav lifts inside to look like a core reaction. It's a basic mirror image map with ground floor being a little more open for BR battles and the middle ground having the right size for anyone to feel comfortable using any weapon on it.

The only gametype I set up is slayer because I leave objective style playing up to the person that wants to play it.

Base Overview:

Middle Ground:

Side View with Reactor Lift:

Also I made it possible to be able to get anywhere on the on the piece on purpose I did not overlook that.

Comment, Download, Hope You Enjoy

Protip: Release your maps over time so that they get more exposure individually.

Your maps all seem pretty sweet, so its a shame that attention will have to be divided between.

Thank you for the tip about map releasing... These are just a few I have done. Forging is addicting

From your pics i can tell you have some good forging ideas, I'm gonna DL and take a better look at this one.
From your first pic it looks like you did not geomerge the boxes into the wall but the stairs are flat against leaving a pretty obvious eyesore, I'm not saying it's a bad thing but maybe not the best choice for a "showing off your map" picture, especially since grenades will fall down the gap and change the outcome of gameplay.

On a minor note i would suggest flipping the bridges as well, not that it really matters just a cleaner look that people seem to enjoy better than the top side.

Anyway keep forging 3.5/5 *rating tbd after forgethrough*
