"Close..."

hello, i madea map a while ago but have had trouble finding enough people to play test. someone recently informed me of the wonderful community here at forgehub and i will enjoy downloading maps from here.

now onto busisness. here is a map which i made in december and im still changing it up to today. i suppose its in the beta stage still, testing weapon balance and what not. i would love it if some people downloaded it, played and gave me some feedback.

here is a list of what the map includes:

weapons
shotgun x0 extra ammo
mauler
numerous smg's
numerous plasma rifles
two needlers
two snipers
rocket with x0 extra ammo
pistols
battle rifles

grenades
numerous spike grenades
numerous plasma grenades
numerous frag grenades

equipment
power drainer
bubble shield
regenerator

if there is anything i missed out, its because i forgot :D here are some panoramic screenshots i threw together real quick:

Re: "Close..." a CQB map from xianoa

please embed your pics and this is in the wrong section. Go to forge discussion and go to map testing post it there o have a mod move it.

Welcome to ForgeHub!
this might not be 100% correct, but i think embedding your pics is a requirement for posting your map at ForgeHub. You might want to check with a mod.. just ask it in the shout box im sure one will respond.

Another requirement of ForgeHub is that your thread title should ONLY be your map title and nothing else.
Change the thread title to just "Close"

Re: "Close..."

I like how the map is in the part of foundry that is usually blocked off. It definitely gives it a darker feel. You may want to take a look at the Forging 101 section to learn how to Interlock boxes together to create a clean playing surface. Its a really helpful tool that many use here to create original and fun maps, Welcome to Forge Hub!

Re: "Close..."

maybe a few more pics. And one being an overview of the map will help. =]

originally this map was made before i or many people were aware of this 'feature'. unfortunately, i would have to tear the map apart to use interlocking, which really is just aesthetic in this case.

as far as i can tell all it does is merge the two objects to remove the visible edge, but the ghost edge still makes you 'bump' up a little.

but if thats what you seriously want me to do, you wil have to wait for me to get my wireless xbox adapter back [next thursday] and give me a few hours to re-do the map.

overhead view is, as far as i can tell, impossible because i cannot get the camera to see the majority of the map from a high vantage point. i could attempt a crude drawing maybe ...
