Bloody Riviera
Bloody Riviera has been one of my projects for a while, and now I'm finally releasing it on ForgeHub. It is a reimagination of Blood Gulch/Coagulation/Valhalla, and it uses concepts and ideas from all 3 maps. It is based on the dunes of Sandbox. The map unfortunately isn't as large as its the maps it was based off, but it captures the basic elements and places them into one map.
At each base is a Warthog, Ghost, Banshee, and Gauss Warthog. Weapons are a Missile Pod, Plasma Pistol, SMG, Plasma Rifle, and Sniper. Just outside each base is a Shotgun and Brute Shot. In the middle is a Spartan Laser and off to each side is a Bubble Shield and Regen. The reason Bloody Riviera was placed on the Casual Maps section is because it is incredibly easy to get out of. The towers are blocked off, and the outer barrier is only 2 blocks high. So, the only honor rule is:

Oh, a blood gulch remake, or of the sort. Haven't seen one of those in a while. Looks moderately good, but the size doesn't match up, but that's not a bad thing. Nice merging, looks clean for the most part, although it's all double-tapped. Vehicles might be plenty, with both teams having a warthog gauss, warthog, and banshee at their disposal, that's bad for gameplay on a medium sized map, maybe take out the gauss and heighten respawn times on the 'hog and banshee. You can't make your own honor rules for competitive maps, so I will escape the map every time >:). You really need to fix that. Take off banshees and heighten the walls. Overall without escaping nice map I loved blood gulch so I’ll give this a go.

it would look really nice, and improve gameplay if the walls around the field were all merged flush with the ground, as if they were covered in sand.. instead of on top.

I was reading feedback for this in the testers guild and people were saying it was just kind of hard to pull off since you can't make your own geometry. Im impressed at this though because, honestly, it looks great. Im sure its not the same or even close to the same as blood gultch but i mean you've done what you could with the limitations you had. Also, halo 3 is a completely different game so even if you remade it pixel for pixel, it wouldn't play the same. That's what so many people cease to understand. It seems to me like there are two many vehicles but this is from the pictures and so I can't be posative. also, what stops the banshee from going over the wall? The wall it self looks a little sloppy as well. If you plan on making a v2, I recomend fixing/redoing that. Doing what you did took some balls and it looks like you did a Great Halo 3 inspired blood gultch.

Nice map, but try a v2. Bookmarked so I can come back when you fix it. Try to include:
Making sure it is inescapable, like use whatever weapons/items you can to try. Make sure the barriers that limit you to the inside are lined up. Also, make sure spawn killing is not a problem.
And please try to provide a gametype!

PRSplayer42- The vehicles work well with this map, although it is a little smaller than its predecessors. Also, I am completely out of budget, so the walls wouldn't be able to be any bigger. This is the reason I posted this in the Casual Map section; didn't I put this in the original post? Its just an honor rule to stay in the map.
iiHeCtic- Yes, you are right, many weapons aren't the same as Halo 2 and CE. The BR was good against vehicles in Halo 2, but it isn't as great in Halo 3. That's why there is a Missile Pod at each base. Again, its just an Honor rule that you don't leave the map; even though there is a banshee; I thought I stressed this enough.
Kryticate- I can't make it completely inescapable; again The Honor Rule. Spawn Killing is not a problem, I don't know how you came up with this, it plays excellently. Also, how do I provide a gametype??? It supports all gametypes, as in CTF and KoTH. (?)

Like the idea of a blood gulch remake. Anyways the base looks really nice the only thing that could be better is the outter wall. It's definitely a fun map for kicks and just to mess around and get a laugh on. Some funny moments on here.
All bets are off.

If you have any extra items, I would contribute them to the map. And even if you don't, the way you made the map would work perfectly. Just unblock the guardians and they will shoot at the walls, still protecting everyone playing. It will only be the ones who try and get out who will get shot. And for the gametype, it is the same as the map. Make one, upload it to your fileshare, copy the link to it and post it on your thread.

Unblocking the guardians wouldn't be a good idea since they would still be able to shoot you; the wall is only 2 blocks high. I still don't know what your talking about the gametype. You don't need a specific gametype. Play CTF or Assault, this is a competitive map, but I posted in Casual maps because it has an honor rule; and you can't have honor rules in the competitive map section.
