Shrine

Hello all, I've come here to get a lot of custom maps for Halo 3 for the past few months, and I decided to try some forging myself. I'm still pretty new at forging so don't expect something incredibly amazing, but I'm pretty happy with my first Sandbox map. The map in question I call "Shrine" (Sorry if the names taken, but w.e)

First of all this map is based only in the sky bubble. It is an asymmetrical team slayer/slayer type map. The main feature of the map is a large tower with a fiery ball of death that rests at the top. (Aesthetic Value, you don't actually come into contact with it. ) The surrounding area are different paths and buildings that follow a circular path around the map.

Well enough chatter, here's some screenshots:

The Tower:

Any kind of feedback would be nice. This is the first map I've posted here, hopefully not the last.

Cheers

Also I wasn't quite sure if this fits under "Casual" or "Competitive" .

the map looks pretty good. the only thing is that it looks kind of dark from the pictures. you might want to at red and blue lights at parts. other than that, it looks like a pretty fun map

Like the name. The lighting of the map fits the way it looks. The shrine is definatley B.A. too. Although, I don't really like the openness of the map..could be smaller with less openings to fall into.

Looks pretty good, I'll try it. I see the potential for some hilarious kills based on blowing up the wooden floor under someones feet. I hope those don't have a too long respawn rate.

For a first time forger, I'd have to say you did a hell of a nice job on this map. A few things ar crooked and look messy, but I'm not going to make that a big deal cause your new at it. Also learn how to merge and i think it will benefit your map. ( Unless you already know how to). I also like the map effect. 4/5

Thanks for the comments guys. I plan on gradually improving my map making skills since Sandbox is just amazing. I feel like a little kid playing with Lego's again!

But yeah, forging brings back a lot of good "Tony Hawk's ____" memories. I'll continue to keep making new maps, I've got a load of creativity to get off my chest since I haven't had a good hobby (well except guitar) for ages.

yeah can somebody move this to competitive?

Hey I like the look of this map a lot. The way you made things partially closed off... I recognize the value of this map in medium-sized parties.
FX Gloomy works perfectly here.

My best maps maps:
TC Conference B (slayer)
Skyscraper MT--A Monster Trucks map, remake of the Mario Kart 64 battle map

Wow, this map looks busy! In a good way, don't worry.

I like how there are man cannons like on Narrows to bring you to the other side of the map. I'll give this a 4.5/5, it would have gotten a solid 5 if you had done more with aesthetics in the man cannon area, it looks a bit bare.
