Yep, you read the title right. This is the epic sequel to the much-loved original
Nooks&Crannies, which had the Casual Maps section squealing with delight for months. Check it out if you haven't already!

Now Nooks & Crannies 2 isn't exactly your run-of-the-mill "junk map," rather, it's been given weapons, spawn points, respawn areas, objective items, and is 100% compatible with every gametype. The Nooks & Crannies series of maps are junk maps done right. This map is a great one to download!
Nooks & Crannies 2 has been extensively tested, and is an
EXCELLENT choice for Infection games with large parties. There's nothing like watching your radar swarm over with red dots as you crouch in a corner wondering what's headed your way. Most custom Infection variants should work great with this map, just... no Fat Kid. Seriously. That's one of the dumbest and most useless things ever created. Almost as useless as the Halo 3 Pistol.
Well, enough nonsensical blabber about how awesome this map is. Time for pictures! So you can
SEE how awesome it is.
Map Geometry and Structure
Attack Base is essentially one of the default Foundry bases + some awesomely structured clutter. On the crane here is a Beam Rifle. A Carbine, a Mauler, and a Power Drain reside nearby. In addition to those, a Mongoose spawns on this side during Asymmetric gameplay (this is the Attackers' base).
In the default Foundry tunnel behind this base is a teleporter to the opposite side (Blue Side) which we'll discuss later. There's a BR in this back tunnel.
Blue Side is the other Foundry base, so named because of the Blue Box that resides there. A human Sniper rests inside the Blue Box, and you can find a Plasma Pistol, BR, and Bubble Shield nearby. Zombies start here in Infection. They were Infected by the Blue Box's radiation, durrr!
The teleporter link to the back of Attack base resides here as well.
In addition, a pile of Pistols lie close to Blue Side. Don't worry though, they suck and won't throw off the balance at all. In fact you're probably an idiot if you ever
use them even think of using them. The funniest thing is that they're supposedly "dangerous." Oh no! Spare me! Pistols!
The ParaBox is located in the windowed corner of Foundry (it's cleverly named, I know). In this corner of the map are various things, including a Shotgun, a BR, a Rocket Launcher, a Regenerator, and Active Camo.
There are also a pair of things hidden in the garbage... for good reason.
The Regenerator is placed atop the ParaBox, and can be used in an interesting way. Throwing the Regenerator down onto the ParaBox will activate the Mancannon in the box, launching players upward into a complicated launcher system that will catapult them across the map toward the Defense base.
Defense Base comprises the last corner of Foundry, and is where Defensive Objectives spawn. The Mongoose located here spawns during all gametypes, and is a humiliatingly awesome item to kill someone with. Nearby are dual Spikers, a Portable Grav Lift, two Plasma Grenades, a BR, and an Overshield.
Defense Base also has access to the middle of its half of Foundry.
It also has access to the neutral Gravity Hammer between Defense Base and Para-Box Corner.
Alas, the map wouldn't be the same without its varied neutral locations. A plethora of items, pathways, and rooms await your exploration. Download this map!
The absolute
Center of the map houses many objects, chiefly the Spartan Laser inside the open box at the top.
Underneath the large structure is a
Sword, placed at the intersection of four open double boxes. This area is most easily accessed from Attack Base and Blue Side.
The neutral area between Defense Base and the Para-Box contains grenades, SMGs, Rocket Launcher access, and its signature "
Mancannon to Nowhere."
Action Shots
Hiding from the Laser is usually a good idea if you only have a Sword.
Dual Spikers > you in the long alley near Defense Base.
The Needler proves how awesome it's become in Halo 3.
