Dead Man's Road

By: xFr1ct10nx and FlipStik

Download Map: Dead Man's Road
Download gametype: Rise of the Undead

Our HALOween map is here! And just in time too. This is my newest map, and my best infection map I think I have ever made. This is Dead Man's Road, a road that is over run by the undead. It is a very balanced infection game I think and it does not give one side more than the other, however zombies are fairly stronger than the humans. Because of this factor, the last man becomes i bit stronger. Meaning at the beginning the humans must work together in order to survive, but the last man is a bit stronger and must survive on his own. There is a trap in the maze so I would suggest keeping a keen eye...

Rise of the Undead is the custom infection gametype that I have made for this map, I think it goes well with it. I have tried to make this map inescapable as best I could. I think it has been done pretty well. The zombies cannot jump high, nor can last man or humans. Zombies can pick up weapons, so im hoping you all will like this ability as much as I do. Zombies also have radar and humans do not. Ambush, tactics, and accuracy is key to survival on this map.

Weapons/Equipment/Vehicles (Wepsand Equip. all have low ammo and long respawns, whereas vehicles do not respawn. Keep this in mind.)
Many BR's
3 AR's
2 Shotguns
4 SMG's
3 Magnums
1 Needler
2 Deployable Covers
1 Radar Jammer
1 Trip Mine
1 Bubble Shield
3 Frags
3-4 Plasmas
1 Warthog
1 Mongoose

And now on to the pics:

Down at the beggining of the road is where the humans spawn.

Here if u turn left from this pic this is where the zombies spawn (I couldnt get past the shield doors, the other places are blocked off.)

This is the area where the two meet. The humans must hold out for 2 mins and 30 secs until the door to the maze opens(half is open now.)

Part of the maze

End of the maze

The "Zombie House" where the is not much ammo. (eventually you will have to go back though the maze.)

Again the links encase you missed them:

Wow. I'm not that much into infection, but you brought me back to the infection world. The last infection maps havent been that good at all, and I'm glad to see that this is very clean and well interlocked. 4.5/5 great job!

Glad to see it posted. Hopefully not as many people yell at the maze ;) It's supposed to be tough you know...

I really appreciate that someone took the time to make an infection map that isn't "Run to the Fort and hold out forever with your unlimited flamethrower and shotguns". Maps like these are the zombie maps that can actually give you a pit of a scare. I love it when your walking, hear something, look back and the guy that was taking the back is dead. Hear something in the direction you were going, turn back around and your friend that was in front of you is dead, and you see no sign of a zombie. That's when it freaks you out.

Overall, I will download this on the weekend and play.
5/5 just for making a infection game where you have to wander, rather than hold a position.

thx, it is alot like predator in a sense but not the 1 shot 1 kill thing and the zombies are visible. the humans dont need to work that hard but they do if there is like 5 zombies and 4 humans.

You said there was a warthog and mongoose. Where? The warthog can be a determining factor in infection, like complete pwnzoring killionaires in a turret.

...but it's in HD

I like this. Looks suspiciously like an Omega Journey map though...
Good idea with the shield door/grav lift combo to stop spawn killing.

A good sig is on the way! *Opens MS paint*
