Slayer is one of Halo's all time classic gametypes. There are two main varieties: Team Slayer and Free For All. Both are accepted in the 'Slayer' category. This gametype is generally the most played gametype. There is no objective in slayer except to kill your opponent whilst preventing him from killing you and members of your team. Most people love this kind of mindset, and thrive in it. No MLG maps are allowed in this category. SWAT is accepted as a Slayer gametype.

The previous winner of this category was AZN FTW with his SWAT map, "Training Ground".
