Everyone remembers the MLG days of Halo 2, where Walshy, The Ogre Twins, T2 and others dominated the pro circuit. With Forge opening new opportunities, MLG caught onto the idea that users could create maps that gave Halo 3 a competitive atmosphere. Many MLG maps have been created, and MLG has become so popular that it has it's own Halo 3 playlist. MLG maps must follow a specific weapon set - if they do not, they are disqualified from the MLG category, but not from other categories.

The previous winner of the MLG category was Superfiegn’s “Hype.”
