I nominate Castlanche due to its strong qualities- more specifically, that it is the best looking budgeted map ever, let alone that it is on Avalanche. Ever since Atlas opened, we’ve been seeing a lot of non budget glitched maps, and this is the best of the best in terms of what he did with the normal budget. It can be found here.

Vote disregarded. This section is for best budgeted Foundry map, Castlanche is an Avalanche map.
I'm sorry I guess I misread. Assuming I can change my vote, I have to go with Verbatim, for it's amazing but simplistic layout that somehow manages to stay wihin the budget. The link is below.

I nominate Verbatim due to the fact that it outplays most budget-glitched maps out there. Shishka would be mentally ill not to let it into matchmaking. The gameplay and aesthetics are on equal levels, that being extremely high. The balance is amazing for an asymmetrical map and the flow is unrestricted whatsoever by size. This map shows that the budget is truly unneeded for a great forge.
It can be found here.

Link to Verbatim, for those who also voted.

I am sorry, but I had no idea Aperture was budgeted. I would therefore like to change my vote. Aperture was simply the best map when averaging out all gametypes, from objective to slayer. Others were much more entertaining for specific gametypes, but Aperture certainly had the widest variety of qality. Not to mention the epic aesthetics.

Because I feel Aperture to be the best Halo 3 map, yet it is budgeted, I must put my vote in this category towards Aperture as well.

I was surprised at how much of the budget Aperture had left. Matty did a magnificent job managing his resources.

I nominate Aperture

Im gonna have to go with Linu. Aperture is Matty's baby pretty much. It supports great gameplay and nice but subtle aesthetics
Aperture has my vote.

I have to nominate Grindstone here. For a map limited within the budget, it does an outstanding job creating a unique playing space. The map is a masterpiece, simple as that.

I also nominate Verbatim due to it's strong qualities - more specifically, the geo-merged items are so cleanly forged, it would be amazing if it didn't get into matchmaking, and the fact that it is an asymmetrical map that still plays out evenly for both teams is great! It can be found here: Verbatim

As impressed as I am by Aperture's imposing geometry, I'm throwing a vote towards Verbatim... I've never enjoyed land-grab as much as I do on that map. Really opened my eyes.

Not really sure. Maybe I have to go with Verbatim because it is such a great objective map.
