Third Place
Friedhoff
by
RC
Prepare for some intimate encounters with the undead on RC's Friedhof, with its high walls and oppressive mood. Featuring a simple two level design, humans are eventually driven to the second floor in their final attempts to repel the oncoming infected. This map's relatively limited capacity only adds to its excitement, creating frantic moments of survival, even with smaller parties.

Have you ever dreamt about fighting in Normandy, against zombies? Well wonder no more, Dark Creek is here to quell your fantasies. The idea is simple; the infected scale a slope slick with blood, making good use of the cover it provides, in an attempt to silence the humans camping on top. This interesting take on the problematic infection cliche results in a truly unique and memorable zombie experience.
Last Man Standing
Schism of Light
by
Given to Fly
Awakening the inner explorer within all of us, Schism of Light shuffles into first place. Don't let the label of "another cave map" throw you off, because it is anything but. It takes the cave concept and perfects it, resulting in a successfully unique atmosphere for infection. Combating the undead has never been so beautiful. However, its exceptional aesthetics are equally met by its gameplay. Numerous tunnels and interconnecting shafts force players to remain quick on their feet, making camping a rare and arduous task. Yet, despite these winding channels, you'll find yourself familiar with this map's layout within a game.
