SNF: Beat The Staff
Bungie recently announced that they will be spending the upcoming Bungie Day (7/7) facing off against random community members in a special, one day only playlist. Just like many of you, the Staff over here at Forge Hub thought this was a pretty cool idea, and you will likely see a couple of familiar names, sans sexy colours of course, should you choose to delve in to the Bungie vs. The World playlist on the 7th of July. But this also got us thinking, thinking mainly concerned with our recently revitilised SNFs against other communities. Now these SNFs are something that we're really happy with, we always have fun (even when we get beat), and it's a great way to spread our wings and meet up with other Halo enthusiasts around the community.
"But what about us?", we hear you cry, and that's where Beat The Staff comes in. The Forge Hub Staff have duly formed in to 3 differently themed teams, each ready to hold their own against the community in their chosen field. This coming sunday, we will be ready to FHace Off against community teams in 4v4 MLG, Slayer and Objective teams respectively, and the those who overcome our immense might will receive custom titles and a front page mention for their efforts. So what are you waiting for? If you think you can take us to the cleaners with one hand tied behind your back, then we're all too happy to take up the challenge.
If you'd like to participate, and you're definitely available this coming Sunday evening from 7pm EST onwards, then sign up here and get ready for a fight to the death (well, this is Halo 3 after all). Sign ups should follow this format:
Quote:
Your Gamertag:
Your preferred gametype set: (MLG/Slayer/Objective)
Are you available this Sunday from 7pm EST onwards? (yes/no)
Other team members (if applicable):

Full teams of 4 are preferred, but if you want to put yourself out as a free agent in case a full team doesn't materialise in your chosen field then go right ahead. The teams who play will be chosen at random, so don't worry if it looks like your preferred gametype set is already packed with applications when you come to submit yours. Backup teams will also be selected in case of a no-show, so if you are chosen as a backup then please make sure you are still available around the relevant time.
This is an idea we plan to revisit on occasion, so if you aren't available this Sunday or you don't make the cut this time then don't fret, you'll have another shot at taking down the corrupt Staff of Forge Hub and striking a blow for justice.
For those posting whole or partial team signups (any application with members listed under the 'Other team mates' section), the following must be noted: If you do sign up with other team members specified, then it must actually be a set team, not just a list of probables. If this is the case, your application will be taken as a free agent post, not a team entry.
This isn't meant to discourage people, but to draw a line between free agents and teams. Team entries are not meant to be a 'captain' applying and saying they'll get another 3 together for the games, team entries must be concrete sets of 4 (groups of 2 or 3 are also fine, but will be subject to the same considerations as a free agent in the sense that it isn't a full team), all 4 of whom must have agreed themselves to entering this and must meet the requirements of time and availability as well.
So please, if you're submitting an application with multiple players, make sure that they are as definite as you are, and that specific names are detailed and set in stone, not just a guess at who will make up your team of 4. Basically teams of 4 applications should include 3 (no more) set team mates who are also sure that they can be there.
