Forge Hub vs Forge Cafe

Forge Hub vs Forge Cafe

Last week we took some time out to face off against fellow forgers, Forge Cafe. The ideal match to test our shootin' skills. The battles were tough, and in the end, only one group stood the victors. Read on to see who claimed the golden anvil!

Team Pub Patrons
Vorpal Saint - Whoops, I screwed up the time limit.
Chipsinabox - Yeah... let's not use Grif for these things again.
Grif - I'm trying to be sneaky here...
rusty eagle - Ah! No! Flanking maneuvers!
Roche178 - Wait... so you mean to tell me you actually used Grif?

Team Forge Cafe
undr zid - I swear Mini, if you betray me one more time...
xKing Elijahx - I got a guy over here by me... wait... got him. Vaporized.
Mini Waz - Is there a chopper? Wait.... YES! There we are!
ks saint2 - I brought the sandwiches guys! Awww, they're smooshed.

The very first game we played was on Forge Cafe's recent contest winner, Twin Temples by ks saint2. Each team used very effective teamwork. Every time one team captured a flag, so did the other. When it was down to the final cap, it was just a matter of who would capture first. In the end, that team was Forge Cafe.

Final Score:
Team Pub Patrons: 2
Forge Cafe: 3

Sneaky, sneaky

Feeling kind of down, we went right ahead into Dunescape, created by makisupa007. We eventually decided to play Team Slayer. However, I'll admit that I messed up the time limit (I somehow set it to five minutes) so it was a rather short game. Still, it had its epic moments, like when three of us decided to get into a warthog with amusing results. Anywho, Grif had decided that since he wasn't helping the team at all he was going to quit out (which he did), but we ended up getting him back in... suffice it to say, the battle wasn't going our way for most of the match and it may have turned in our favor if the time limit was longer but, in the end, time got us and Forge Cafe won again by five points. Oh, and of course... you can blame Grif.

Final Score:
Team Pub Patrons: 29
Forge Cafe: 34

...bad idea...

Even though the victor had already been decided, we gladly soldiered on and played our final match on Mini Waz's map, Topple. Right when the game started Grif quit out, and it also seemed as though Mini Waz was in black screen. So it wasn't the best start! It ended up being a 4v3 for a while until we acquired the mighty Roche. By then it was already too late... again we'd lost - nay, destroyed. Yes that's right, Forge Cafe shut us out and we recorded our first loss in the newly set up SNF.

Final Score:
Team Pub Patrons: 73
Forge Cafe: 150

Grenades are evil

So hubbers, there you have it. We'd like to thank Forge Cafe for coming out and playing with us. Even though we may have lost, we had a fun time doing so and we're also sure Forge Cafe had a fun time whooping our bottom regions. See you all later and remember, blame Grif! Also, Forge Cafe has kindly made a montage to show some action that happened. Check it out below.

Wouldn't this be two weeks ago?

Because I participated in the SNF last Sunday against H3MB.

Basically you guys got your asses kicked, oh well at least you tried.
Also I lol'd at Grifs rank, not because of it being a lieutenant thing but for the amount of exp you need to get it.

These SNF's aren't about winning or losing, it's the fact that we have fun.
Not only is it the fact that we play to have fun, but by holding SNF's it makes a good way to have a good standing and friendship with other communities and affiliates of Forgehub.

So hopefully most of you members can understand this concept that I said because we didn't win the SNF for this week either.

We had a blast playing Forgehub, they are really nice guys. I can say from 1st hand experience, that hey were the best sports that we could of asked for. Even tho the had lost, believe me, it was not an ass whoopin. It was VERY close all 3 games. In fact the 1st game final flag scores were within 10 seconds of each other, we just happen to get the score 1st. The other games, we had the advantage because they had problems with keepin their players in the game. Lawlz, it was still a great honor to play games with you guys, and we will gladly offer a rematch if you choose to accept.

Thanks again for the oppurtunity, you guys are great sports. We laughed, we cried. But most importantly, we made some new friends. Cheers to you Forge hub!

From Forge Cafe-
Thank You and Good Game(s)
