After the change to vBulletin from SMF, the BB Code you are used to has changed. I'll run through each code you have available to you, and the conventions you need to follow. A full list of the codes can be found here.

First of all, you must close off your code. As an example, using [b] To bold the rest of your text won't work unless you add [/b] at the end.


Codes with no additional convention changes

[url] (To alter the link formatting, do so within the [url] tags)

[code] (If you have text set to automatically parse, it will do so even within the code box. Either turn it off or use [noparse] tags inside [code])

• Highlights text

[indent]

• Indents text

[email]

• Displays your email: myname@domain.com

[attach]

• Displays an attachment in the post body rather than at the bottom: Attachment 23456789

[sigpic]

• Inserts your signature picture into your signature. Does not work in posts and you must have already uploaded a signature picture.

• The [size] tag now works by specifying the size increase or decrease you wish to effect.
• [size=+1]This text is one font size larger[/size]

[list]

The [*] tag has replaced the [li] and [/li] tags for new bullet points within a list. There are no closing tags for each bullet point, but you must still close off the main tag.

Input:

[list][*]You can define the list style by adding 'a' as shown here.[*]Additional points cycle through the alphabet.[/list]

Output:

1. You can define the list style by adding 'a' as shown here.
2. Additional points cycle through the alphabet.

[jumpto] and [aname]

These replace the [anchor] and [iurl] tags. To use them, first set a location in you post which you want to jump to, like this:

[aname=ANCHOR NAME][color=White].[/color][/aname]

Notice the space between the [aname] tags - I have added a bullet point in white font. The tags need text between them to function as an anchor.

To jump to your anchor, use this code:

[jumpto=ANCHOR NAME]TEXT FOR ANCHOR LINK HERE[/jumpto]

What's the difference with image resizing? Can it still be done in the img , width= context? Or do they just need to be posted in their final size?

My my, forgot to add this. What you need to do is add specific resolutions. Here's an example:

Input:

[img=50x100]http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j126/FuriousD18/newsig2.png[/img]

Output:

EDIT: Huh!? Not working... wtf...

lmao... I'll try and figure out what resolution sizes work, and what format is required. Apprently 50x100 is not allowed, or the format you used inside the tag is wrong.

*edit- Apparently with this site, you cannot add a resolution inside of the [IMG] [/IMG] tags, instead, after putting in a picture/img, you can edit your post and use the built in picture crop/strecher with these forums to edit picture size.

The weird thing is, I was able to define image sizes earlier today and it worked.

The built in tool doesn't work for me either, it adjusts itself in the edit box but the preview and saved post didn't retain the settings. I'll try it again.

Don't resize manually. We have an auto resizer. Just use the img tags.
