For other maps enjoyment and balence would be equal for all maps, but think about Aesthetics, i mean you cant make awesome aesthetics on Guardian. Foundry offeres an equal chance for everyone.

Anyway to my question:

Can we recommend a certain number of players to be played on our Conquest map. Like if we want 3v3 instead of 8v8.

If its a good conquest map, then it should be able to suit 3v3 - 8v8. Chasm can hold 16 people and still play like a charm. --Though it might be a bit laggy. --In any case, I plan on having 4v4's on each map.

It would be harder to make a map with good aesthetics on Guardian than on Foundry, but it wouldn't be harder to judge. I think the person should be able to decide which map they want to use. It may be harder on different maps, but that would be their decision and they may be able to make up for aesthetics in the other categories.

Oh I posted my map and a guy had a question that scarred me.

You wont get disqualified for posting your conquest map on the forum, right?

I dont think you will but I want to make sure. And I have another question.

If we made a conquest map but then like improved it or made like a V2, can we submit that one too?

You won't be disqualified. If you make some tweaks to your map, then just redo your download link to the updated version.

I have been working on two maps and posted them in the submission thread. After I did that, I posted a thread for one of my maps just to get some feedback and hopefuly perfect my map.

-"Do not use a map you have already posted"

I assume this applies to maps created before the competition. I just wanted to make sure that there wouldn't be any confusion if I posted the map before the contest ended.

-In the Book of Conquest section, it said that a map must be

Linear: a Conquest map should consist of a single, inescapable, linear path with two ends.
Narrow: the path should be narrow enough to keep battles head-on with little to no flanking able to occur.

I understand the general idea of this but my map has one area where you can bypass the center territory. Could you follow the link below to the thread and tell me if this is wrong.

http://www.forgehub.com/forum/competitive-maps/56095-binary.html

Pictures 8 and 9 show the place where players can jump past the middle territory.
