I'm going to make this map, but I'm not sure if I will be able to enter it. See, technically speaking it's asymmetrical, but game play-wise it is symmetrical.

Oh wow this will fill the book up nicely, all the new maps to be listed. I think I'll have to make a new chapter just for this contest...

Foundry only? You would. I guess it's a good idea for a truly fair contest, but I can't help but dislike that rule.

Anyway... I've been putting off writing the "how to build a Conquest map" section in the book but I can see that it's now needed, I'll get it up real soon.

I don't see any reason why that layout wouldn't count actually. It still works. In fact, from the players perspective it's identical, whereas in a symmetrical map it isn't (eg. one team turns right while another turns left at their respective corners).

I'd go for it.

That's inverse-symmetrical, I'm not sure if that would be acceptable. I've never seen an inversely-symmetrical Conquest map before, but I'm sure if plays fine it would be acceptable.

EDIT: Nvm, Phreakie's post reminded me, Chasm is inversely-symmetrical and is a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure you could submit it.
