Member Ranks

You may have noticed members with different colored names. Colored names are given to members of a certain status. There are many different colors, which cater for the variety of ranks that we hold.

If you are asking how to become one of these members (other than Warned or Banned, of course), here's the guidelines that we use to determine who is deserving of the rank.

User must post well informed replies/topics
User must not spam
User is helpful to other forum members
User always embeds pictures in their topics
User is kind to others
User has been a long standing member
User does not flame others
User makes a dedicated effort to make members feel welcome
Above all do NOT ask for it. If you do we will not consider you.

The two exceptions are Respected and Premium. You receive Respected when the staff decides that you are famous around the Halo community. Premium is only able to be got by having two featured maps made by you.

The Loyal member rank is given to members have have stood out from the rest. These members are helpful, active and show dedication to Forge Hub's success. These members are rewarded with a purple name and access to the 'Hub Pub' forum.

These are members who have had at least 2 maps featured on Forge Hub's front page. Their forging skills are of a very high standard, and are rewarded with a similar status to the Loyal members, including access to the 'Hub Pub' forum.

These are Premium members that of which have had at least seven maps featured on Forge Hub's front page. Their forging skills are legendary and are rewarded with the normal premium status. They also have bragging rights for being the best of the best.

Members with a teal colour are respected members. These members are of high status to a closely related forum, and are given this rank as a sign to show our respect and gratitude to the member.

As spam has become a problem on our forums, an executive decision has been made to give select Premiums and Loyals the power to moderate the map boards and off topic. This is a temporary measure and the Guardians will be retired and reinstated as necessary.

What's A Scope?

The Journalists are responsible for what goes on Forge Hub's front page. That includes featured maps, information on events, and new additions to the website.

The Moderators make sure that stability is kept in and around the website. This includes monitoring the forums, helping out people who require it, and 'dealing with' members who refuse to abide by the rules.

The administrators are the guys at the top. They oversee all of the above actions, and make sure everything goes as planned.

The Tech Admins are responsible for all of the 'behind the scenes' work that you don't see. Every minor change to the website is their work. They strive to make the website a better place.

If the players name is a pink color, this player has received a Warned status. The warning status is given to members who have broken a rule, but not one serious enough to result in a ban.

If the players name is like above, but has a strikethrough, this player has been banned from the forums. The player has severely broken a Forge Hub rule(s) and has been punished accordingly. He has received the Banned title, as well, until his ban period is over.

Infractions are given by the Staff, for if you do something against the rules. If you get three infractions, you will be put into Warned status, and five or more will result in Banned status until your ban time is over, after which you will be put back into Warned. Read the rules to avoid receiving infractions. In particular, avoid spamming, double posting, bumping, insulting other members, and bad language.

A promotion not based on post count? I love it! Finally there is an actual reward for generally being awesome. Congrats to the current loyal members. You were awesome even though there was no reward, and that is noteworthy. But now that there is a reward, I expect great things to come of this.

Loyals are just what TDF said, Respected usually means you're someone famous from another halo site.

TrueDark, it is only at .189% of our total members! What is this madness, that isn't .2%! Only kidding of course.

Of course this is nice having a new rank that is based off of dedication and respectability and not only post count. It lets the most dedicated members to have access to a more secluded group that people can't get into by the end of their first week, (some of the new Premium Members were getting there awfully fast).
