Its good to see the history of forge :D Its also cool to think that in just over half a year forge has changed from scrappy boxes on the floor, to interlocked geometry-glitched and budget glitched on specific maps such as foundry. Its great ;D

I guarantee that we will look back at the modern maps that are being made right now, like Renegade and other amazing maps and we will think it was so old and retro because in the future the forging abilities will be greatly improved. Its just like real life, like science and how is the world going to live without oil? Do you guys know what I mean?

Great post btw.

In the first few weeks that Halo came out, I made a D-Day map on Last Resort. And people really liked it because it had some... "innovative" new things. Like putting the Grav Lifts on top of weapon holders and putting fusion coils there. It made an artillary kind of feeling. I think I was one of the first to do that. But now ive fallen behind lol.

wow, this does remind me of the early days of forging (i know a lot of people have already said this, but i might as well agree). especially how there wasnt any amazing maps out like there are today. the first map i forged was nothing but a bunch of vehicles on both sides of valhalla and then a bunch of big guns in the middle. i was so proud of it when i first made it, but looking back i realize that it's rediculously stupid compared to maps im making today (im not saying im an awesome forger or anything, just saying there's a lot more thought nd technique in it)

Amazing post. Its so funny how things have changed. Now people barely look at your map if you dont interlock.
