Forging:
To "sense" you being close to it, the switch uses a custom powerup (10 sec respawn). This powerup stops explosive cans from blowing up the grav lift (10 sec respawn) that keeps the door closed. When you pick it up *BOOM*, the dumpster falls and it is open. After 10 seconds the custom powerup and the gravlift spawn and the door closes. As long as you sit on the custom powerup the door will remain open. Enjoy :P
It is complete with an observation deck with an elevator to the top of the deck. It also has sunken stairs to the switch and the switch itself.
Observation Deck:
Going UP!
Here we are, top floor. Please go up one of these ramps!
This is the part of the observation deck that you will see the slide door from.
Great view, huh? Yep.
The Switch:
I will only show half of it (identical)
This is a player picking up the custom powerup which will launch the fusion coil.
This is the switch activating. The fusion coils explode and destroy the grav lift causing the door to open.
Then you can go in! It is placed so that you can run at a steady speed and the door will open before you get there.
Why Have this switch?
It conceals rooms so that they can be isolated from eachother but still accessible. It also makes cool fights like there where you are close when you 1st figure out he is there.
Go for it, This was made to help the community. The most up to date door yet (I think). It can be used multiple times and simulated the automatic doors that are in the halo campaigns.
Very nice. I've seen this done with the dumpsters before, but never going down. This could help a lot of people. Great job
