I'm looking for a few experienced Forgers who would like to work on a pretty big machinima project. Currently, there is a decent sized cast and crew who've shown interest, but we are lacking in capable Forgers at the moment. Basically, if you're interested, you would be designing several sets for the machinima and possibly a few "special effects" (i.e. use of complex switches, etc.). Realize that you will have to audition in order to make the crew, but all that really entails is you displaying some of your previous work for me and a few others.
Basically, you'd be working on several sets. Some of them will be incredibly easy, some will be difficult. For instance, a few of the sets will be working off of pre-set maps, and the only thing you may have to modify is the items that spawn for cast use and lighting elements. At other times, you may have to create things like a small cityscape for exterior shots, interior rooms like an office, a short race track to simulate a car chase, or a large explosion set off by a pressure switch. This project will honestly be whatever you make it to be from a Forgers perspective. Overall, it will provide challenges and opportunities to make something that looks great.
FYI, the machinima is sort of a comedy/thriller/mystery, which may sound weird, but it should work out as long as quality work is put in.
I'll be honest, I feel like an asshole making this my first post here. It's not something I would ordinarily do. However, I was aware that there was a pretty solid community dedicated to this sort of thing here, and I thought I would open the opportunity to you all before anyone else. Thus far, the project has been community based, but I'd like to bring in some real "experts" for this particular aspect of the project. Should one or more of you end up working on the project, the forum as a whole will be credited on each episode. Again, I apologize for making this my first post. Hopefully, you'll understand.
