The VIP is crashed in the middle of The Sahara Desert, and it’s up to you to evacuate him. All you got to do is give your ghoust-bound VIP a ride in your hornet up to the pelican. Sounds easy, right? Well let me mention one last thing; the desert is infested with super fast sand zombies, who are basically there to make your life suck. Now things get interesting.

Due to [classified], the Albatross was forced to landing in The Sahara Desert, but was shot down early by an unknown green burst of energy, presumably covenant forces. Regardless, one of the soldiers survived, he is now your VIP, get him off the ground and bring him to the extraction point. There is presumed hostile forces on ground level, so the extraction point will be located 57 meters above ground level, get him in that pelican! Understood?

A group of zombies are awakened by a rumble in the ground. They crawl out of the sand to see a red triangle in their vision; they hate red triangles so they follow it. They get close to the red triangle, to find a guy in a ghost cruising around. They could ask why the guy why he has a red triangle over his head, but instead they smash the guy across the head. They ruthlessly continue, until they hear a gatling gun thundering in the distance… it’s getting closer… and now its pelting down on a zombie’s face. Zombies’ weakness is bullets in the face so it dies, and the ghost gets a chance to get away. With sand zombies hot on his tail, the VIP yells to the hornets overhead, “Are you SOASE?” They reply, “you know it, I’m a firin my rawr kits so it gone be k! ” The VIP sighs and says a prayer as he gets double teamed and sent flying twenty feet.

Soon the SOASE hornets manage to kill a few zombies, the time was perfect, and the hornet descended yelling at the VIP to get in. A zombie spots this activity, takes a running start, jumps into the air, and as the hornet was ascending, swings its gravity hammer, instantly killing the driver as the hornet plummeted to the ground. The VIP was lucky, and gets away alive. The VIP is supposedly a super soldier of some sort.

After a few minutes of epic battle sauce, the VIP appears to be losing its nice shiny armor, and is left with purple armor. The SOASE hornets chatter, “wow, that purple is kinda embarrassing, eh?” “Well at least it matches the ghost” “Hey, he looks hurt” “no, he just likes screaming” The VIP realizes that he doesn’t have much more time, something has to be done. He sees a zombie in the distance, turns around, comes over a hill… And two angry sand zombies rush at him, swing their gravity hammers, and with a huge bang destroy the VIP’s ghost. Through the wreckage, the VIP is still barely conscious, he flies helplessly through the air backwards, seeming never to fall, thinks to himself, “is this the end?” He closes his eyes, then SLAM! smacks into something in mid-air! He turns around and sees that he landed on the hornet!! He is dropped off on the pelican and flies to safety! ROUND OVER

If you bothered to read all that, you should have a general understanding of SkyRide’s gameplay, congratulations. (well, that last part isn’t a common sight, but it was epic so i left it in.)


SkyRide can be a funny or serious game. If you find it funny, than there’s no problem, but if you find it serious, read the next bit, it can really help you out.

This game revolves around the act of clearing a landing area, then picking up the VIP without dying. There are alternative methods but this one seems to be your best bet. Communication, and decision making are the keys to victory. There are three roles you will play in this game, VIP, Special Operations Arial and Support and Evacuation units {SOASE} [saucies] (VIP’s team), and the Sand Zombies:

VIP:
Apparently you were some special soldier and your plane crashed. That really doesn’t matter, what matters is not losing your ghost, not going to slow, and to communicate with the SOASE’s for a pick-up. You’re extremely tough, but your shields decay, enemy damage won’t affect you too much, it’s time that will essentially kill you, so get to the pelican ASAP. And if you see a zombie, don’t call in the SOASE hornets, wait until the landing zone is clear. And one last thing I can’t stress enough, don’t lose your ghost, you’ll get assassinated!

SOASE:
The Special Operations Arial Support and Evacuation units have a BR and a rocket launcher, and are really weak. There tool of destruction is the hornets though, it keeps them above the zombies, and deals out a lot of damage. As I said before, wait until the coast is clear, and then make the pickup. And make sure you do a good job of dropping the VIP off at the pelican, it’s surprising how many people screw up.

Sand Zombies:
Gravity hammer, plus plasma pistol, plus super fast, plus poor camo, equals the sand zombies. Your job is to keep the VIP on the ground. Some tips: Kill all vehicles possible, the VIP can use them to his advantage. If you swing your gravity hammer while in air, you get a little boost, this can be helpful and fun. When an enemy is out of the hammer's range, use the plasma pistol, overcharged it stuns vehicles.
