Introduction
Well I'm back with a brand new spankin' version of a FH favorite: Gridlock. To help alleviate some confusion with GoW map "Gridlock", I have slightly renamed my map "Gridlocked". After playing the old Gridlock extensively over the past 4 months, I realized there were a few changes that could be made to make the map play even better. The map now works better with gametypes other than CtF, and I suggest trying Territories or Neutral Assault. The old version suffered from poor spawns and the new version should greatly improve in that aspect. The map has now been
completely geo-merged, and has been given a
considerable face-lift among many other changes.
Here is a link to the old map to see just how much this map has changed....for the better.
Map Description
Gridlocked is a unique map built from a simple concept. Vertical boxes are stacked all throughout the map creating a grid-like system of pathways. Certain sections of the map are blocked off and force players to move in a "U" like direction to get from base to base. In the far corners of the map there are elevated platforms. Each elevated platform has a view of the other platform and a portion of the base located nearby. These platforms become critical to control during any match. There are basically 2 routes from base to base. The shortest route is the most dangerous and most frequently used, while the longer route is safer from enemy fire, but more easily controlled. Overall the map was built to flow well and move players throughout the entire map.
Weapon Layout
Sniper Rifles are located at the far corners of each map on elevated platforms. These rifles really help control the outer part of the map, but are still limited by the sharp corners the map provides. In the center of the map there is a long narrow hallway that can only be accessed from one direction. At the end of that hallway is a Spartan Laser and a bubble shield to protect a player from fire. At the back of the map, there is a single hammer located on the ground. The hammer may be useless when attacking down a long narrow hallway, but it is incredibly good at killing enemies around a corner. Each base holds a Gauss Warthog and a gun turret. Both are generally used for defensive purposes, but the Gauss can be used for a quick attack on an unsuspecting team. Other weapons and equipment can be found throughout the map, and are balanced accordingly.

Territories is a great gametype on Gridlocked, much improved from the old version.
The Spartan Laser is at the end of the alley by the flag territory
This looked too painful for me not to show to everyone....
He gets hit....hard
The Gauss Hog can now be dominant in the back section of the map
