Again showing that refined use of filters really can work wonders on Sandbox, and putting the last nail in the coffin of those who doomed Sandbox maps to a future of dull aesthetics, Contention's crisp, bright feel perfectly compliments its geometry as a whole. With a flowing network of almost organic feeling chambers spread over two levels, twinned with the breathtaking central hall, the weapon set follows suit, with a varied yet balanced selection for the working Spartan. Whether you're still in the Winners Bracket, or even in the tournament at all, Contention is a must-see if you enjoy the focused competition of 1v1 Halo 3.
